A supercut of 33 video games with 40 male protagonists featured in marketing materials at the 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo. GAME LIST: Dead Rising 3 Assassin's Creed Unity Halo 5 Battlefield Hardline Dying Light H1Z1 Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Enemy Front Scalebound Grand Theft Auto V Watch Dogs Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain The Witcher 3 Batman Arkham Knight The Division Homefront The Revolution Phantom Dust The Evil Within Quantum Break The Last of Us Remastered Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Crackdown Devil's Third Sunset Overdrive Lords of the Fallen Metro Redux Sniper Elite 3 The Order 1886 Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Dark Dreams Don't Die Murdered: Soul Suspect Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments Far Cry 4 NOTE: I chose not to include games like Evolve, Destiny and Fable Legends which include playable female lead options and were featured in promotional materials alongside male protagonists at E3. I also didn't include the plethora of indie, "casual" or cartoony titles starring men. For those interested I counted only 4 major games with exclusively female leads (4 1/2 if you count the Second Son DLC announcement).
